What is the “Glow” service?

Glow is the one-stop destination portal for women in South Africa offered to Vodacom’s customers. It contains all the latest news and trends (in the form of articles, videos etc.) focusing on four main categories: fashion and beauty, career and money, lifestyle, celebrities, and entertainment.

How much does the subscription cost?

The cost of the subscription service is R25 per week or a lesser amount. If you are a first-time subscriber to the service, you get 1 FREE day. Upon every charge, you will get access to the Glow portal for 7 calendar days.

How can I get access to the “Glow” service?

Vodacom Customers can subscribe to the portal using the following options:

Send the keyword “YES” to 0820099022 and confirm the subscription by SMS (via double opt-in)

Tap the “Subscribe” button on the portal and follow the instructions.

Dial *126*5# and follow the instructions.

Click on the Glow advertising banners on the internet and follow the instructions.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time.

How can I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription by sending an SMS with the word, “STOP” or “CANCEL”, to 0820099022 or by dialing the *135*997# USSD code (at no cost). Upon sending the relevant keyword to the short code you will be unsubscribed. After the successful cancellation of your subscription, you will receive an SMS confirming the cancellation of the service.

Will I have access to the portal after I have cancelled my subscription?

After cancellation, you will continue to have access to the portal until the end of your subscription eligibility, which is 7 calendar days from the last charge.

I forgot my password for the portal. What should I do?

You can easily retrieve your login credentials by sending an SMS with the word “PASSWORD” to 0820099022 (at no cost) and your credentials will be sent to you.

How can I enter into the portal?

Upon subscription to the service and upon every 10th successful charge, you will receive an SMS with the link to the portal along with your credentials. Tap on the link and you can start enjoying all the content the service has to offer.

What type of prizes can I win by enjoying Glow?

By enjoying the Glow service, you are in the race to win your share of R50 000 cash. Two winners stand a chance to each win R25 000 cash by means of a random draw at the end of the 90 day competition period. To be eligible for the prize, you need to be successfully charged at least once during the term of the competition, this gives you 100 points. More details can be found in the Terms and Conditions.

How many points can I earn?

Each successful subscription charge earns you 100 points. The more points you earn, the more chances you have of winning the prize. More details can be found in the Terms and Conditions.

Why don’t I have access to the portal?

To access the portal, you will need an active subscription. To sign up for a subscription, refer to the “How can I participate in the Glow service” section above. Please also ensure that you have sufficient airtime balance in order to have access to the content. Please also refer to "How much does the subscription cost?" above.

How do I log in?

Your phone number is your login. Tap the link and follow the instructions on the login page as follows: Insert your phone number and your password to log in.

Do I need an internet connection to access the premium content?

Yes, you need an active connection to the internet to access the portal.

Can I search for an article?

Yes, you can by tapping on the “Search” functionality. You can type multiple words leaving blanks between each word and search in the title, synopsis, and keywords.

Portal’s search system does attempt to put the results in order of relevance.

Can I read an article later?

Yes, you can by tapping on the “Read later” icon from the article page. The article is then marked as “Read later” and can be accessed via the respective functionality.

I don’t see my “Read later” articles. Why?

In case you deleted the cookies in your browser the articles saved under the “Read Later” functionality will be also deleted since this information is saved on a cookie.
