TREND #1: Butter skin

This refers to skin that has a creamy, flawless finish. Having a good skincare routine that contains moisturising ingredients is key. Then, you need to use a cream or liquid foundation formula with a luminous finish for a dewy and delicious complexion.

TREND #2: Y2K nude lips

In the early 2000s, there was a specific way that everyone wore their lip colour. It consisted of a darker, more noticeable liner with a lighter nude colour on the rest of your lips. Lightly blend the liner inward and top with a high-shine gloss. 

TREND #3: Watercolour makeup

This trend is all about soft, sheer colour that looks like a watercolour painting rather than a matte, bold look. Instead of pops of colour on your eyes and cheeks, think of it more like washes. Liquids and tints are best for achieving this look.  

TREND #4: Gilded eyes

Step away from the heavy black eyeliner because this season, it’s all about metallics like gold and bronze – perfectly sun-kissed for summer. This, combined with a shimmery matching eyeshadow, adds depth and dimension and looks super sultry. 

TREND #5: Faux freckles

Not everyone is blessed with natural freckles across their noses and cheeks. But, there are ways to create them using makeup! If you can’t find legit freckle-making products, you can use liquid or a long-wearing pencil eyeliner instead.

TREND #6: Lightened brows

Gone are the days of dark, bold brows (at least for now!) because light eyebrows are having a moment. You don’t need to bleach them to achieve this look; all you need is a light eyebrow pencil. Can’t find one light enough? Use eyeliner instead.
