Make sure that you are serving looks this season by wearing some of these tasty food-inspired beauty trends.

In the beauty world, there are always new and exciting trends to try. Some of the best from the last few seasons have been inspired by food. Here are six delicious beauty trends to wear, inspired by popular eats and drinks.

1. Strawberry girl makeup

This had had several different colour, or food, variants, such as tomato and guava, based on the exact trending shade. All of them have been used to describe the trending summer colour palettes that can be used for lips and cheeks.

2. Glazed doughnut skin

Coined by Hailey Bieber, this refers to skin that is plump, soft and luminous so that it has the same sheen as a fresh glazed doughnut. Achieving it requires using skincare products that give your complexion a dewy, radiant and glossy finish.

3. Cherry cola colour

It’s not red, it’s not dark brown, it’s somewhere in between! This colour was a huge trend for lips as well as hair. For hair, it is made up of multidimensional layers of brunettes and deep reds. For lips, it is an ombré of the two shades.

4. Latte makeup

A trend that suits literally everyone, latte makeup is for your face (think toasty brown bronzers and blush, warm neutral eyeshadow and a soft brown lip) as well as your nails (which should be painted in a versatile light brown shade).

5. Milk bath nails

For a soft, clean, feminine manicure, look no further than this trend, which is part of the clean-girl look. It has a sheer white finish but also comes in several variants, such as blueberry milk (light blue) and banana milk (light yellow).

6. Chocolate brown hair

This trend is self-explanatory and comes and goes all the time. Hair that is solid black can lack depth, contrast and dimension. A rich, decadent chocolate brown, however, can be a lot warmer, more flattering and low-maintenance.
