Local personality, Ayanda Thabethe, knows a thing or two about being successful in meeting her #goals. Here’s how to set wellness targets you’ll actually stick to.

A lot has gone right in life for Ayanda Thabethe. This local model, TV presenter, actress and businesswoman isn’t just well-known in the entertainment industry but in the beauty and wellness space, too. She recently joined forces with fashion and homeware giant, MRP, to create Quick Face Beauty – a range of makeup must-haves to help anyone unlock their glow.

There’s no denying that Ayanda is a beauty, both inside and out. A true fashionista, it takes just one scroll through her Instagram feed to see that she always looks good. This is partly due to having good genes (#blessed). But it’s also down to how she treats herself and her body. She knows that surrounding yourself with positivity and being true to yourself are the first steps towards holistic wellness. Here are three more ways that she goes about staying healthy and in good condition.

1. Be realistic about your body

You can’t let the achievements and goals of others get in the way of what’s good and necessary for you. We are all different, with unique bodies in terms of shape and how they react to food and exercise. It’s all about having personal targets and milestones and staying focused on those. Start owning your individual journey!

2. Do what you can do

Find yourself making excuses as to why your lifestyle isn’t more active? This is something most of us are guilty of. But we can’t let it hold us back from reaching our goals. Even if there’s no time in your schedule or money in your bank account for a gym membership, take the stairs, move more and watch your diet.

3. Invest in new activewear

We all want to look good when we are out in public. And going for a run or to a workout class is no exception. One way to incentivise you to exercise is to buy some new cute activewear that hugs you in all the right places. Make sure that yours fits well so that you are comfortable and feel good.
